Travel and Lodging
Travel
If you are coming directly for the wedding, it will be best to take your flight into Málaga, Spain. If not, and you have other plans prior to the wedding fly into wherever works best for your itinerary.
From the airport in Málaga, it is about a 45 minute trip to Marbella.
Uber is available, however ride-sharing services like Bolt and Cabify are also popular in the area. Online, it states the price for that Uber ride is approximately €75 (aka $85).
IMPORTANT - If you are planning to rent a vehicle, Spain requires you to have an International Driving Permit (IDP). They are not particularly difficult or expensive to get, you can just go into your local AAA office to apply.
Hotels
Many of the hotels in Marbella are seasonal and do not provide traditional room blocks. However, there are many wonderful hotels close to the house, as Marbella is a very popular travel destination.
We were able to secure a 5% discount at the Ona Diana Park Hotel for 15 rooms. If you would like to book a room at Ona Diana Park, please use the code WEDDINGAC.
We plan to have a shuttle bus for all of our guests to get to the wedding. We will coordinate shuttle pickup locations and times based on where most guests end up staying and follow up with that information as the wedding day comes closer. We’ll be reaching out!

What’s Happening in Marbella?
Marbella is a beautiful (and very popular) old Spanish town on the Costa del Sol. With a classic Andalusian city center and world renowned beaches, there is a ton to do.
Golf at one of the many courses
Visit Casco Antiguo and La Plaza de los Naranjos
Shopping in Puerto Banús (keep your receipts for VAT tax reimbursement)
Go hiking at La Concha
It also looks like there is a cool event going on around the time of the wedding:
Feria de San Bernabé - Marbella, Spain's main annual festival, this vibrant week-long celebration features a Feria de Día (Day Fair) in the city center with flamenco and gastronomy, and a Feria de Noche (Night Fair) at the fairgrounds with rides, music, and casetas (tents). Key events include a traditional pilgrimage (Romería) and the official lighting of the fairgrounds arch, offering a blend of history, culture, and lively entertainment
